ABOUT ME
I'm 22 years old and just finished my Masters Degree in Politics at University College, Cork. Come September I'll be up the walls busy with my Postgraduate Diploma in Education!

I enjoy Taekwon-Do(almost too much) and spend most of my time training and Instructing or at the Gym.

When I'm not training I really enjoy playing in Irish Traditional Music sessions or watching Movies with my friends. I love being in the company of friends and people I trust.

I've been told that I'm quite blunt about things in general. I think that I get this from my mother.
How long have you been training
Since December 1998
My most memorable TKD moment
Currently, the most memorable TKD moment has to be having an "audience" with Grand Master Choi for over an hour at the Cork IIC in 2008.

After meeting with Grand Master Choi at the Airport I sat in the meeting area of his room with my Instructor Master Dalton, Mrs. Dalton and Mr. Philpott, with two of my closest friends, Eoin and Andrea, and with Master McCarthy, Master Creedon and Mr. Corkery for what must have been well over an hour.

listening to his words of wisdom, I could not help but think that Grand Master Choi was one of the most awe-inspiring individuals I have ever come in contact with.

This encounter consolidated my thoughts on "Do" and also helped make up my mind on devote my life to Taekwon-Do, which is something I had been thinking about for a long time.

This was memorable and a huge turning point in my training and attitude towards training in many respects.

I'll get back to you on this once I've got some!

I've been out with 4 weeks so far with my ankle. Physio said it should take about 6 weeks. I trained on it for two weeks after I twisted it which could add another few weeks to it. I was never very good at stopping for injuries! You were thinking of my wrist, which by the way is in perfect health (touch wood!) It hasn't poped out even once in the last few months!! I didn't buy the breaking stand thing just yet, ression and paycuts going on ya know ;o) I can break only one black board at the moment, I'm not sure want that is equal to in inches of timber. Do you know? I started with hammer fist just to check I could actually break it, then I went on to forefist and now I'm on palm and back of my hand. I'm contimplating reverse knife hand I'll have to build up a bit of conditioning for that I'm thinking. I'm planning on putting together a matrix style slow motion of breaking on youtube something like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9BvKvILvxI ) Cool ya? Are you going to start competing in power breaking? What kind of breaks can ya compete in?

Oh I ment to ask... How many black breaking boards can you break with your fist? I've been watching alot of Iron palm stuff lately (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSYuOr_zfYw ) Looks like fun. I don't know how a concrete block compares to black breaking board so I'm not currently in the mind set to try anything like that yet ;o) 1 black board is getting easier though. Whats a reasonable aim, 2, 3 ,4...?
