As well as TKD my interests are Scuba Diving, I am PADI advanced scuba diver with wreck diving as a speciality. I also play a bit of guitar nothing special, I can really kill a good tune..

I first started training at Warwick University under the supervision of Mr Antony Raiwa (V). Then moved to TST martial arts in Coventry UK. This club is run by Mr Jon Tizick (IV) and Mrs Zoe Tizick (IV), and assisting them are three excellent instructors, Mr Steve Wilcox (III), Mr John Naughton (III) and Mr Taro Koka (II). An excellent team and a very freindly club with a well run social scene.

Recently TST has added a monthly combat class with Master Ian Ferguson (VI), Head of the A.P.T.I. and former English, European and World Champion.

I am in my late fourties, and have been training in TKD since October 2007. In my early 20's I did Shotakan Karate, I graded a few times and fought in a couple of local competitions but regretably never kept it up. My main goal within TKD is to get to 1st Dan and then see how things are, I do struggle with my health, bit overweight and years of inactivity have taken their toll. I find smallest injuries take forever to heal.

Lutterworth Open 29th March 2009 - bronze medal in patterns and silver medal in mens heavyweight sparring.

Bronze medal patterns, Gold medal mens heavyweight sparring.

Imperial Welsh Championship 21st Feb 2010:
Gold Medal mens hyperweight sparring, Bronze medal patterns.
